Oramai gli tutti gli Impianti erano stati costruiti e quelli esistenti ristrutturati. Nell'anno preolimpico questi luoghi vennero visitati dai Membri del CIO per il definitivo "Nulla Osta" ma anche da personalità politiche, militari e sportive italiane e straniere. Anche il Presidente della Repubblica Italiano, Giovanni Gronchi, volle visitare personalmente quegli edifici che avrebbero ospitato gli atleti provenienti da ogni parte del mondo.
By now all the plants had been built and the existing ones renovated. In the pre-Olympic year, these places were visited by IOC Members for the definitive "Nulla Osta" but also by Italian and foreign political, military and sporting personalities. The President of the Italian Republic, Giovanni Gronchi, also wanted to personally visit those buildings that would house athletes from all over the world.
