MEDAGLIE PER I PARTECIPANTI - MEDALS FOR PARTICIPANTS

The same coin was used for both the awards ceremony and the commemorative medal. The commemorative medal, 45 mm in diameter, was made of a buff copper alloy and was distributed to all participants, contained in a cardboard box. To the members of the IOC, the FIS, the NOC, the authorities and diplomats present in Cortina, a 45 mm silver medal was paid homage, contained in a blue leather case, surmounted by 5 colour circles.

Other commemorative medals, in Gold (Vermeil), Silver and Bronze "copper alloy" (smaller in diameter), requested by CONI, were made with the same subject and lettering on the obverse as the participation medal, while on the reverse they featured the inscription “ITALIAN NATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE” and a star in the circle.
